I had been thinking of how to introduce myself to the super cute lady who comes in every morning. She's about 35, and the cutest face you've ever seen. She reminds of someone which drives me crazy, cause I can't remember who or where from. For a few weeks, her smiles have gotten bigger when we pass and eyes meet. It's been a full six months and it's time to make a new friend, my specialty.
The intro needs to be short and simple, including a compliment. Keep the proper distance, use slightly submissive body language and smile, but no grinning or "Ha,ha at the end."This is something I could have done months before, but I thought I'd go slow. Gold's Gym is not a private club. Putting myself in her tennies, I would presume young women are averse to strange old men introducing themselves. My thinking about what to say is along these lines.
"Your smile makes me happy." Or, "You're really smiling at me today." Or, "Wow what a smile!"
Two years ago in Colorado, in a dark spin room as I walked through and spotted a lovely lady that I had never met, but had exchanged many looks on the gym floor, I had made a huge leap in by saying, "Wow, your smile lights up the room!" Next thing you know, this brand new friend fixed me up with her best friend, a beautiful woman living up the road a few miles. She and her husband drove us up to meet for dinner at a four-star restaurant just south of Denver. In other words, my brilliant technique has worked many times in the past.
